Nuclear pore complex interacting protein (NPIP)

PF06409

Definition

This entry includes a series of primate specific nuclear pore complex interacting protein (NPIP) sequences. The function of this family is unknown but is well conserved from African apes to humans PMID:11586358. This entry represents helical segments that in some members constitute almost the full length of the sequences, while in others are found at the N-terminal, associated with a beta-solenoid repeat at the C-terminal ([pfam:PF20885]).

20 human proteins with this domain

Each is a reviewed human protein in the Seroatlas serome and a potential autoantibody target; this domain groups them into one antibody-relevant category. Every entry links to its own record.
