Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase domain superfamily

IPR046357

Definition

This superfamily represents the peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase domain found in a wide range of proteins, including trigger factor [[cite:PMID:15334087], [cite:PMID:29222465]], FK506-binding proteins [[cite:PMID:12054805], [cite:PMID:14672666]], proteins from the parvulin family such as Par10 from E.coli, Pin1 and Par14 from human or Pin from plants PMID:15322281, chaperone SurA [[cite:PMID:12429090], [cite:PMID:32358557]] and foldase protein PrsA PMID:14976191. This domain catalyses cis/trans isomerization of peptidyl-prolyl bonds, which is often rate-limiting for protein folding. This domain consists of a flattened β-barrel of four/six-stranded, antiparallel sheets, surrounded by four/six α-helices.

20 human proteins with this domain

Each is a reviewed human protein in the Seroatlas serome and a potential autoantibody target; this domain groups them into one antibody-relevant category. Every entry links to its own record.
