ZIP Zinc transporter
PF02535
Definition
The ZIP family consists of zinc transport proteins and many putative metal transporters. The main contribution to this family is from the Arabidopsis thaliana ZIP protein family these proteins are responsible for zinc uptake in the plant PMID:9618566. Also found within this family are C. elegans proteins of unknown function which are annotated as being similar to human growth arrest inducible gene product, although this protein in not found within this family.
14 human proteins with this domain
Each is a reviewed human protein in the Seroatlas serome and a potential autoantibody target; this domain groups them into one antibody-relevant category. Every entry links to its own record.
