Guanylate-binding protein (GBP) is a cytokine-induced GTPase that hydrolyzes guanosine triphosphate (GTP) to both guanosine diphosphate (GDP) and GMP. It has the properties of nucleotide-dependent oligomerization and concentration-dependent GTPase activity PMID:21142871.
