TMEM132 second Ig-like domain
PF23481
Definition
This entry represents the second Ig-like domain found in TMEM132 family of proteins which includes TMEM132A-E, transmembrane proteins that regulate neuronal structure and function. In mammalian cells, they may regulate NAP1 in the WAVE regulatory complex (ARC) to finely modulate actin nucleation, cellular cytoskeletal and morphological changes. TMEM132D member has been associated with panic disorders, anxiety and major depressive disorders [[cite:PMID:33726789],[cite:PMID:25331638]].
5 human proteins with this domain
Each is a reviewed human protein in the Seroatlas serome and a potential autoantibody target; this domain groups them into one antibody-relevant category. Every entry links to its own record.
