T-complex protein 11

PF05794

Definition

This family consists of several eukaryotic T-complex protein 11 (Tcp11) related sequences. Tcp11 is only expressed in fertile adult mammalian testes and is thought to be important in sperm function and fertility [[cite:PMID:11756566],[cite:PMID:12068715],[cite:PMID:12545228]]. The family also contains the yeast Sok1 protein which is known to suppress cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinase mutants PMID:8065298.
