Peptidase S1A, HAT/DESC1

IPR017329

Definition

This entry represents the type II transmembrane serine proteases (TTSPs), which belong to MEROPS peptidase family S1A (clan PA(S)). They include the HAT/DEASC1-like (human airway trypsin-like protease/ differentially expressed in squamous cell carcinoma gene 1) serine peptidases. They are activated by cleavage and secreted PMID:17388811. The entry includes the adrenal secretory serine peptidases, which are HAT peptidases that play an important role in airway physiology PMID:20620066.
