Definition
This family consists of the B melanoma antigen (BAGE) peptides. The BAGE gene encodes a human tumour antigen that is recognised by a cytolytic T lymphocyte. BAGE genes are expressed in melanomas, bladder and lung carcinomas and in a few tumours of other histological types PMID:12461691. This entry also includes bacterial proteins from the Vibrionaceae family.
