OverviewNCBI Gene

This gene encodes a member of the Krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger family of proteins. The encoded protein, a component of the U7 snRNP complex, plays a role in histone 3'-end pre-mRNA processing and may be required for cell cycle progression to S phase. Expression level and methylation status of this gene may be correlated with bone mineral density. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2016]

Antibody and autoantibody relevanceSeroatlas analysis

Seroatlas reads ZNF473 as an antibody target. Whether an autoantibody or antibody against ZNF473 could matter depends on whether native ZNF473 is physically reachable, whether the body needs it intact, and whether it acts in a disease-relevant tissue.

ZNF473 is annotated as predominantly intracellular. Intracellular proteins are common autoantibody markers, becoming visible to the immune system after cell injury or altered processing, but are usually markers of disease rather than direct drivers.

Annotation status

The present source text does not explicitly label ZNF473 as an autoantigen. Seroatlas presents hypothesis context only and does not manufacture a known-serology claim.

Seroatlas is the reference for exploring autoantibody and antibody serology at the human-protein level: the autoreactome and human serome, multiplex serology (HuProt, HuScan, VirScan, PhIP-Seq).
