Hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha bHLH domain

PF23171

Definition

The founding member of this family is the bHLH domain of Hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha that functions as a master transcriptional regulator of the adaptive response to hypoxia [[cite:PMID:11292861],[cite:PMID:11566883]]. This domain also found in other transcription factors such as Single-minded homolog 1 (SIM1), Neuronal PAS domain-containing protein 3 (NPAS3), Endothelial PAS domain-containing protein 1 (EPAS1) etc.

7 human proteins with this domain

Each is a reviewed human protein in the Seroatlas serome and a potential autoantibody target; this domain groups them into one antibody-relevant category. Every entry links to its own record.
